ILOILO – The provincial government is proposing a P3,712,252,733 budget for 2019 – P2,747,455,733 for the General Fund and P964,797,000 for Local Economic Enterprise.
The following is the breakdown for the proposed General Fund:
* personal services – P898,367,155
* maintenance and other operating expenses (MOOE) – P953,869,954
* capital outlay – P22,670,000
* special purpose lump sum appropriations – P872,548,624
For the proposed Local Economic Enterprise, here’s the breakdown:
* personal services – P392,137,818
* maintenance and other operating expenses (MOOE) – P572,659,182
According to 5th District Provincial Board member Nielo Tupas, chairperson of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan’s committee on appropriations, the 2019 proposed budget is P245,131,059 higher than the 2018 budget of P3,467,121,674.
The committee may start hearings on the proposed budget on the second week of November.
“Siguro sa second or third week of December aprubahan ang annual budget,” said Tupas.
There won’t be delays, he added, for as long as department heads could justify the budgets they are asking, he stressed./PN
