BACOLOD City – The provincial government of Negros Occidental will start issuing quick response (QR) codes for its employees who have already been fully vaccinated against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson got his own code late Thursday afternoon.
Dr. Jessica Fama, medical specialist of the Provincial Health Office (PHO), said the list of employees who have already received their required doses have been encoded and has been forwarded to the Information and Communication Technology Department which will create the QR code IDs.
After they complete encoding those working at the provincial capitol, the next will be those in the general public who are already fully vaccinated.
According to Fama, they have already informed the local government units to submit their respective list of residents who have completed their inoculation.
The said QR codes will be used for certain transactions if required, she said./PN
