CAPIZ – To help save lives of residents suffering from kidney ailments, the provincial government will soon start the construction of the two dialysis centers in Mambusao District Hospital and Senator Gerardo M. Roxas Memorial Hospital in Dao town.

Gov. Fredenil Castro led the groundbreaking ceremonies for both facilities on Monday, March 24.

The proposed budget for the construction and operation of each dialysis center is P30 million.

The governor said he initiated the construction of the two dialysis facilities for the said district hospitals after he personally witnessed the long queues of dialysis patients at Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital (RMPH).

“It is a union of aspiration, union of our hopes, and union of our dreams to provide our people a dialysis center. This aspiration started when I had occasion to visit RMPH. Nakita ko didto ang nagapila nga mga Capiznons. Bal-an ko basta makapungko ka na sa dialysis amo na ang pre-departure area mo. Ang RMPH very crowded. Basi ang iban sini mapatay nga wala gid katilaw dialysis and I don’t what that to happen,” Gov. Castro said.

The construction is expected to commence in two to three months.

The two centers that would house 15 dialysis machines each could accommodate up to 45 patients a day.

“This program will not be a success without the cooperation of everybody. This is a collective program, ang pag-care and protection sang machines, everything to be taken cared of, especially the success of this program rest in your hands… Ensure to keep safe all of these machines,” the governor added./PN
