ROXAS City – “Kon wala amon bulig, diin ka ginpulot?”

Melanie Arancillo, sister of Capiz governor Antonio del Rosario, told Roxas City mayor Angel Alan Celino this via a Facebook post amid the word war between the two public officials.

This was after Celino said he “did not owe his position” to del Rosario.

“We all helped you. By the way, pila gani bala ang imo daug sang primero mo pagdalagan as mayor? You were with us when you were jumping with joy kay nagdaug ka 600 votes. Kon wala amon bulig, diin ka ginpulot?” part of Arancillo’s Dec. 20 post read.

Earlier, Celino has called del Rosario “lawlaw” (lame) for not getting the Seal of Good Governance award from the Department of Interior and Local Government.

Celino’s comment came after del Rosario said that the city government must not avail itself of a loan for the construction of a new public market in the city.

Since then, the two has been exchanging harsh words.

Del Rosario has accused Celino of violating Commission on Audit rules when he purchased secondhand vehicles for the city.

The governor also said he regrets endorsing Celino as mayor in 2010.

On Dec. 19, Celino responded, “Butigon nga klase sang gobernador.  Indi siya ang nag-endorse sa akon kundi ang pamilya Roxas. Kon naghinulsol siya sa akon, mas labi na gid ako nga nag-upod sa iya. Indi man ko magbaton nga ako gin-endorse niya.”

Del Rosario said he will file a case against Celino before the Office of the Ombudsman because “that is what the public wants.”/PN
