CAPIZ – This province is a Hall of Fame awardee of the Bureau of Local Government Finance (BGLF) for Collection Efficiency of Locally Sourced Revenues.
The province made it to the Top 10 in all performance areas of local revenue collection for three consecutive years.
Under the Collection Efficiency of Locally Sourced Revenues Category, Capiz ranked first in 2018 and 2019, and made it to the Top 10 in 2020.
The province also ranked first in Western Visayas, followed by Negros Occidental.
The awarding ceremony for the Top Performing Local Government Units in Local Revenue Generation for Fiscal Year 2021 was recently held in Metro Manila, simultaneous with the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the BLGF.
Provincial legal officer, Atty. Maria Leobeth Deslate-Delicana, provincial assessor Ariel Fernandez, Provincial Treasurer’s Office supervising administrative officer Marlene Aguirre, and BGLF-6 acting regional director Maria Rhodora Gascon received the award for the province.

* Province of Iloilo – Top 7 (National Top Performing Province in Local Revenue Generation for 2021, Performance Area No. 1.A: Highest Locally Sourced Revenues) and Top 8 (National Top Performing Province in Local Revenue Generation for 2021, Performance Area No. 2.A: Collection Efficiency of Locally Sourced Revenues).
