ROXAS City – After a noise barrage of inmates at the Capiz Rehabilitation Center (CRC) in Barangay Lawaan here, the provincial jail warden and a prison guard were relieved from their posts.
In a memorandum dated Nov. 23, Provincial Administrator Edwin Chinel Monares ordered the temporary transfer of Warden Arjuna Yngcong and Prison Guard 1 Andreo Llaver to the Provincial General Services Office (PGSO).
The reasons cited were “in the interest of public service” and “to augment the workforce of the Provincial Guards assigned at the Capitol”.
The provincial government is also set to investigate alleged irregularities at the CRC.
Inmates claimed their wives were being subjected to unwanted passes whenever they visit the CRC./PN
