ROXAS City – A man hacked a tricycle driver after catching the latter having sex with his daughter-in-law in a restaurant in Barangay Baye Baye, Jamindan, Capiz.
Police identified the attacker as the 66-year-old Eliseo Vigo Sr. of Barangay Guintas, Jamindan.
Vigo’s daughter-in-law, whom the police identified only as “Girlie,” owned the restaurant.
According to Police Officer 3 Elvis Villasis, Vigo grew suspicious of Girlie when the latter told him to go home early to Barangay Guintas on Christmas Day.
Girlie said she will stay the night in the restaurant, Vigo said.
Vigo went home but decided to go back to the restaurant later in the evening. That was when he caught Girlie and the 37-year-old Lionel Benigas having sex.
Vigo got furious and hacked Benigas on the right arm using a bolo, and then reported to the town’s police station.
When Vigo and the responding police officers went to the restaurant, Girlie and Benigas were no longer there, only some of their belongings.
Benigas was rushed to a hospital where he was currently under treatment.
Girlie, on the other hand, left the village with her two kids.
Girlie is married to a Philippine Army soldier assigned in Negros Occidental.
Before she left, Girlie told the police she and her husband have been “separated” for a long time and Vigo does not know about this./PN
