CAPIZ – The Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) held a performance audit recently for the overall assessment of peace in Capiz in 2023.
Five law enforcement agencies—the Philippine National Police, the Bureau of Fire Protection, the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, the Philippine Coast Guard, and the Philippine Army—presented situational updates, achievements, and initiatives taken to maintain a peaceful and orderly Capiz.
Gov. Fredenil Castro, PPOC chairperson, renewed his order to the council to exhaust all peacekeeping efforts, especially as Capiztahan 2024 approaches, which is slated from April 11 to May 1.
Also present during the performance audit were other council members, including Department of the Interior and Local Government provincial director Cherryl P. Tacda; Colonel Manolito F.
