ROXAS City – The Provincial Health Office of Capiz has produced comics on the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) as a tool for effective information dissemination.
According to Capiz PHO head Samuel Delfin, the two-page reading material is in Hiligaynon.
It discusses minimum health standards such as physical distancing, wearing of facemasks, and hand-washing, among others.
The provincial government aims to raise public awareness on the viral disease throughout Capiz, even in far-flung barangays.
Claudine Delfin was the comics illustrator.
The material was initially circulated in the non-COVID wards and outpatient department of the Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital.
As of Nov. 8, the province of Capiz had a total of 939 confirmed cases (cumulative) of which 796 already recovered, 97 still active 46 dead./PN
