ROXAS City – The provincial government of Capiz plans to plant one million fruit-bearing trees.
For this “1 Million Kahoy” project, it is partnering with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Region 6.
The Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) of Capiz recently passed Resolution No. 538- 2021 authorizing Gov. Esteban Evan Contreras to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement with DSWD-6 for the project.
The provincial government wanted to link its “1 Million Kahoy” project to DSWD-6’s Risk Resiliency Program – Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation (RRP-CCAM).
DSWD-6 has P46 million for around 17,000 beneficiaries of its program in Capiz.
