Capiz releases nearly P3M for child development workers’ allowance

CAPIZ – The Capiz Provincial Government has released a total of P2,955,000 for the allowance of 591 child development workers (CDWs) in the province.

Gov. Fredenil Castro and Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) acting head Joerine Tan led the distribution of P5,000 allowance to each CDW as an acknowledgment of their vital roles in early childhood education, on Monday, December 16.

According to the PSWDO, there are 261 CDWs in the 1st District and 330 from the 2nd District.

Also present during the distribution were Vice Gov. James “Mitang” Magbanua, Sangguniang Panlalawigan members, 1st District’s Deputy Administrator Enrique Martin, and Provincial Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office head Rio Garcia./PN
