CAPIZ – To bolster emergency response in Capiz communities, the provincial government recently distributed new rescue vehicles to some barangays.
According to Provincial General Services Office head Mr. Eduardo Apaap, the recipients include:
* Barangay Malocloc Sur in the town of Ivisan
* Barangays Ilaya, Matagnop, Centro, Pob. Ilawod, and Quinayoya in the town of Dao
* Barangays Bun-od, Maindang, Balingasag, Malagab-i, Putian, Lunayan, and Mahunod-hunod in the town of Cuartero
* Barangay Pantalan in the town of President Roxas, and
* Barangays Astorga, Bungsuan, Agsirab, Alipasyawan, Salcedo, Ongol Ilawod, Ongol Ilaya, Calapawan, Traciano, Guinutos, and Aglalana in the town of Dumarao
Gov. Fredenil H. Castro led the distribution. He said the first recipients were far-flung or flood-prone barangays.
Castro added that these would equip barangay-based responders to expedite response time in the event of incidents, emergencies, or disasters.
Castro also advised the recipients to maintain and utilize the vehicles properly./PN
