ROXAS City – A filmmaker from Capiz was hailed the “best director” in the Cinemarya Film Festival – Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino 2020 held recently.
Gary Tabanera’s film was titled “Binakol sa Dahon”. He presented to Gov. Esteban Evan Contreras the award he bagged during a recent courtesy call.
According to Esteban, Tabanera proved that talented Capiznons could excel in various fields such as filmmaking.
CineMarya was a Women’s Film Festival that challenged Filipino filmmakers to create relevant women-centered short films that inspire and empower, and promote gender sensitization./PN
