ROXAS City – The Capiz Private Schools Athletic Association (CAPRISAA) showed its track dominance in the secondary category of the Western Visayas Private Schools Athletic Association (WVPRISAA) Meet 2020 at the Villareal Stadium.
Miles Beunafe spearheaded CAPRISAA’s victorious campaign after securing gold medal finishes in the secondary boys’ long jump, high jump, triple jump, and also as a part of the runner up 4×100 relay team.

Jemwell and Jerick De Felipe proved supremacy in the walkathon 2km, as they took
the gold and silver medals, while Jemwell and Alexander Aldea ended up with gold
and bronze medals in the 5000 meter run event.
Mark Bryan Tianchon and Garnel Jess Delfin, on
the other hand, had a gold-silver medal finishes in the 1500 meter run, while
Carlsu Baticados fell short of a gold after he suffered mishaps in the last
minute mark that landed him to the 3rd place.
Also, Delfin and Ian Miguel Dumangon failed to
own the 800 meter run having finished with a silver and a bronze, while Jude
Acta bagged silver and Joshua Jay Beramo took the bronze in the steeplechase
event.
Back to back victories were nailed in the 110
and 400 meter Hurdles events with John Paul Balsote and Delfin after capturing
gold medal each, while Dumangon settled for a bronze.
Baticados, Dumangon, Balsote and Delfin ended up with silver in 4×400 meter
dash. Dumangom, Buenafe, Delfin and Balsote also finished with a silver in the
4×100 relay.
Lester Neil Dorado still managed to kick off his
undying strength as he won gold in the secondary boys javelin throw, while Ric
Daniel Marcelino took the fourth spot.
Skervald Asuro II landed short as he take the
fifth and 4th place in the long jump and high Jump events ,respectively, while
Dennis Ugas finished the Triple Jump and
400 meter dash with a fourth and sixth place.
CAPRISAA finished the secondary athletics
competition with 12 golds, 13 silvers, and 6 bronzes, while ILOPRISAA and
NOPSSCEA ended up at second and third place, respectively./PN
