ILOILO City – A car and a truck collided in Barangay Buhang, Jaro district. A 19-year-old lass was injured.
Athena Marie Delos Santos of Barangay Malayoan, Ajuy, Iloilo was taken to the Iloilo Mission Hospital in La Paz district on Jan. 25.
She was a passenger of the car being driven by Fritz Lehman Palma, 19, of Barangay Buhang.
The collision happened around 1 p.m.
Police identified the truck driver as 29-year-old Eduardo Jayobo of Barotac Viejo, Iloilo.
Delos Santos and Palma were bound for Barangay Buhang from the city. Police said the car overtook a vehicle but wasn’t fast enough to return to its lane. It crashed against Jayobo’s truck what was running in the opposite direction.
Jayobo was detained at the Jaro police station./PN
