BACOLOD City – A caretaker of fighting cocks was arrested in Barangay Singcang-Airport for selling shabu.
Raymond Santiago, 39, of Calong-Calong, Zone 1 was taken to the police station after handing a sachet of suspected shabu worth P200 to an undercover policeman on Friday noon.
The Bacolod City Police Office’s City Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operations Task Group staged the sting operation.
According to Senior Inspector Jose Mulleta, the suspect was placed under surveillance prior to the buy-bust operation.
Santiago got his supply from Purok Sigay, Barangay 2 and repacked them, said Mulleta.
Aside from the sachet of shabu he sold to the poseur buyer, the suspect yielded six more small sachets and P1,300 cash.
Santiago faces a charge for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act./PN
