ILOILO City – A van owned by a cargo express hit a minor yesterday in Barangay Rizal, Lapuz district.
Eight-year-old Maxel May Matin was taken to the West Visayas State University Medical Center for treatment.
According to the police, the girl was crossing the road around 9:30 a.m. when she got hit.
Van driver Zosimo Gancia, 38, of Santa Barbara, Iloilo was detained at the La Paz police station.
He would be charged with reckless imprudence resulting to physical injury./PN
