BACOLOD City – His neighbor stabbed him dead, police said.
The 35-year-old carpenter Ranielyn Rio Salvania of Barangay Jantianon, Amlan, Negros Oriental sustained a stab wound on the body, a police report showed.
He was brought to the Negros Oriental Provincial Hospital where the attending physician pronounced him “dead on arrival.”
According to the police, Salvania and neighbor Gregorio Cual, 63, had a fistfight around 2 a.m. on April 5 due to a misunderstanding.
The fistfight then resulted to the stabbing, added the police.
Cual was detained at the municipal police station’s lockup facility after he surrendered./PN
