BACOLOD City – Eight thousand pesos in cash and a cellphone worth P7,000 were reported stolen from two men at the downtown area.
The men – both married – said they lost their money and cellphone to a group of women who appeared to be prostitutes early morning on Saturday.
Officers from Police Station 1 withheld the names of the men – one of them 35 years old and resident of Barangay Taculing while the other, 29 years old and resident of Barangay Mandalagan.
According to a police report, the 35-year-old man was on board his motorcycle at the downtown area near a pension house along Bonifacio Street around 3 a.m. when the women approached him.
The women offered him “short-time happiness,” the report stated, but the man declined.
When the women left, the man found his wallet containing P8,000 cash missing.
The 29-year-old man, on the other hand, was walking along Cuadra-Gatuslao Street around 4 a.m. when a group of women approached him.
They also offered him “short-time happiness,” police said.
The man declined the offer and also discovered his cellphone missing after the women left.
Investigators from Police Station 1 have yet to identify the women.
It was not immediately clear if the women who allegedly stole the wallet were the same women who allegedly stole the cellphone./PN
