EARLY this month, James Reid charmed many Filipinos for declaring his loyalty to his girlfriend, Nadine Lustre, on “Gandang Gabi Vice.”
The show’s host, Vice Ganda, asked Reid if Lustre lets him go out with friends without her.
His response drew shrieks from the studio audience and countless comments online: “Usually if I ask, she’ll say yes. But usually I’ll decide not to go because I’m in a relationship. When I’m in a relationship, I try my best not to give her any reason to feel jealous.”
And just when we thought Reid couldn’t get any sweeter, the actor encouraged Lustre to get a corgi – even if he is a cat person.
“Sobrang nasi-sweet-an ako,” Lustre was quoted as saying in an article on Viva Entertainment’s website. “Siya ‘yung nagtuturo. Parang baby kasi siya (dog).”
“And ‘yung ganoong klase ng dedication, parang hindi siya ganoon before,” added the actress.
“But now ginagawa niya na. Doon ako nasi-sweet-an.”
Reid has been extra caring for their baby corgi nicknamed Cal, short for Calcifer Pendragon.

In her previous Instagram Stories posts, the actress showed her boyfriend sleeping with Cal and teaching their dog some tricks.
