The Department of Tourism (DOT-6) in Western Visayas will have a new head as the current regional director retires effectively April 17.
Atty. Helen Catalbas, DOT-6 regional director issued a regional advisory regarding the designation of Cristine C. Mansinares as office-in-charge of DOT regional office 6. Mansinares, who is the former Provincial Tourism Officer of Negros Occidental, is the current Chief Promotion Tourism Officer of DOT-6.
In an interview, Catalbas said that Mansinares is among the five candidates vying for the position of regional director of DOT-6.Catalbas sat down as officer-in-charge of DOT-6 in 2011.
In 2012, former president Benigno Aquino III appointed her as acting regional director. She was reappointed as fully-pledged regional director in 2016 by now President Rodrigo Duterte./PN
