Just recently, a leading real estate firm in the country formally announced its expansion in Iloilo City. Filinvest, one of the leading brands in the Philippines in terms of property development through real estate firm, Filinvest Land Inc., will be pouring its investments in this part of the region by building value condominium units under the Futura Homes brand. In a press release, Filinvest expressed they were attracted by Iloilo’s growing economy, especially in terms of the Human Development Index (HDI), evident on the progress the resident achieved over the years. HDI is a composite index which measures achievements in three basic dimensions of human development. These include leading a long and healthy life; acquiring knowledge; and accessing to the resources needed for a decent standard of living. Based on the records of the Philippine Statistics Authority-National Statistical Coordination Board, Iloilo has achieved an HDI of over 0.800 in all three basic dimensions, besting other provinces of Western Visayas. “We see potential of the province and Filinvest wants to take part in its continuing growth,” said Filinvest Land, Inc. First vice president Tristan Las Marias in a press release. Strategically located at R. Mapa Street, Barangay Tabucan in Mandurriao district, Filinvest’s Futura Homes serves as the homebuyer’s first step in fulfilling their dreams and aspiration of having a space of their own. The said development will literally be a few steps away from some of Iloilo’s known establishments and institutions such as the Ateneo de Iloilo, Iloilo One Esplanade, Iloilo Medical City, Molo Church, and GT Plaza Mall, providing future residents the key of accessibility and convenience. With its almost 50 years of good track record, more than 135,000 homes built in over 2,350 hectares of land, Filinvest continues to fulfill the dream of every Filipino family across the country./PN
