BACOLOD City – Policemen of Cauayan, Negros Occidental arrested a 64-year-old man charged with violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act (Republic Act 9165).
Raynor Cañada was served with an arrest warrant in Barangay Tuyom, Cauayan at around 8 a.m. on July 26.
The arrest warrant for Criminal Case No. 2027-7716 was issued by Judge Rodney Magbanua of the Regional Trial Court (Branch 61) in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
According to Corporal Emmanual Edson Jamandre, investigator on case, Cañada had a previous arrest – on Sept. 2, 2017 – for a still unclear case.
The suspect availed himself of a plea bargaining agreement which resulted to his release from detention on May 10, 2018.
For his latest case, the court recommended no bail bond.
Cañada was taken to Cauayan municipal police station./PN
