BACOLOD City – A birthday party turned out to be the last for a man in Barangay Caliling, Cauayan, Negros Occidental.
The 41-year-old Juaquino Cadongog was hacked dead at his own birthday party, police said.
Juaquino’s older brother Roger, 43, was tagged suspect.
According to police investigation, the brothers were having a drinking session at the victim’s house when a heated argument ensued between them. This prompted Roger to hacked Juaquino on the head using an axe.
It was not immediately established what triggered the altercation.
Roger was detained and charged. He voluntarily turned himself in to the Cauayan police station./PN
