Ceneco rates up in Aug. billing

BACOLOD City – The Central Negros Electric Cooperative (Ceneco) is increasing its power rates by P0.2905 per kilowatt-hour (kwh) this August.
The rate for this month is P11.0103/kWh, higher compared to last month’s P10.7198/kWh, according to the power distributer.

Ceneco officer-in-charge Jose Taniongon said the increase can be attributed to some adjustments in the power rate, universal charges and value added tax.

“In monitoring the monthly electricity usage, consumers are advised to look at their kilowatt hour consumption and not the amount,” he added.

The amount may vary depending on the pass-through charges, Taniongon further said./PN
