BACOLOD City – The Central Negros Electric Cooperative (Ceneco) is going on “overdrive” trying to restore power to affected consumers after the onslaught of super typhoon “Odette.”
Information from the power cooperative had it that their technical crews immediately began troubleshooting their three damaged 69kV lines.
Ceneco aims to completely restore power within two to three days, and they are hoping for the cooperation from their consumers.
It is also strongly advising member-consumers to stay away from downed electric poles and distribution lines for safety reasons.
As of 1 p.m. on Saturday, power had already been restored in majority of their feeders in Bacolod City, Talisay City, Silay City, Bago City, and Murcia town, with isolated areas noted as further repairs are needed either in the electrical poles or wires.
Twelve feeders are also still unavailable as repairs in the affected feeders are still ongoing.
“‘Odette’ has caused so much damage to our lines and we are trying our best to restore power in all areas. Please bear with us,” Ceneco added./PN
