CenterPhil-CDSA 3 goes 2-0 in basketball

ILOILO City – CenterPhil Montessori Silver Knights-CDSA 3 kicked off its campaign in the 2018 Iloilo School Sports Council Meet secondary basketball with a pair of victories at the La Paz Gymnasium.

The Silver Knights drew strength from the 23 points of Lester Valn Paraico and 18 markers of Jose Rey Tuya to score a lopsided 88-41 victory over CDSA-1 on Thursday afternoon.

CenterPhil was able to score a follow up to this yesterday morning. It walloped CDSA-5, 86-41, with Paraico leading the way with 13 points and Narince Ballano adding 11 markers.
Later in the day, CDSA-1 suffered its second consecutive defeat. It surrendered to CDSA-5, 79-59, slimming their chances of advancing to the next round of the competition.

Iloilo National High School, meanwhile, had a strong start in the WVRAA Meet qualifier. It outlasted CDSA-4, 85-72.

ILOPRISAA, on the other hand, scored a lopsided win over CDSA-5 in elementary basketball. Chad Cartel led the way with 25 points while Amiel Dema-ala added 10 markers for the winning team.

In secondary boys football at the Iloilo Sports Complex, ILOPRISAA cruised to a 2-0 victory over CDSA-5 with Mark John Non netting the first goal followed by another hit from Hanns Soldevilla.

CDSA-4 also had a winning start with a 4-0 drubbing of the Iloilo National High School. Jan Chryss finished with two conversions, while Wilmar Aguro and Mark Anthony Bedia added one each.

In other matches, CDSA-3 rolled past CDSA-1, 3-0, while CDSA-2 blanked Iloilo City Schools, 2-0./PN
