CenterPhil, St. Robert’s drub foes in NBTC-Iloilo

CENTERPHIL Montessori Silver Knights and St. Robert’s International Academy Panda Rockets cruised to winning starts in the National Basketball Training Center Iloilo leg on Monday at the Western Institute of Technology gym.

The Silver Knights did not have a hard time tallying its first victory after taking down Sun Yat Sen High School, 81-47. Lester Valn Paraico led the way with 19 points, while Wilmar Silverio added 16 markers for the winning team.

The Panda Rockets, for its part, also started its campaign in style after dominating the Ateneo de Iloilo, 78-51. Dexter Hans Gange finished with 19 points and Roy Oscar Jacinto had 12 markers.

Iloilo National High School also had a winning start after an 85-47 rout of Filipino American School Town. Kyle Dashel Somogat and Kean Noel Mirandu Jr. had 16 and 13 points, respectively, for the Iloilo National High.

The Integrated Academy School System, Inc., on the other hand, came up with crucial hits in the endgame to score a 73-66 win over PAREF-Westbridge. JM Delos Santos had 15 markers for the winning team.

The league will have a break today before resuming on Thursday with morning games between Ateneo de Iloilo and St. Paul University of Iloilo and FAST against University of San Agustin.

In the afternoon, PAREF-Westbridge will be tangling with Mandurriao National High School, while the Silver Knights will face Assumption-Passi./PN
