Central Luzon most wanted falls in Ajuy

ILOILO – The No. 1 most wanted person in Central Luzon has been arrested in Barangay Badiangan, Ajuy town.

Wilhem Flores, 45, was a resident of the barangay. Facing a string of criminal charges, he was collared at his house around 5 a.m. yesterday by operatives of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office’s  (IPPO) Intelligence Unit and Ajuy police station.

IPPO director Police Colonel Paul Kenneth Lucas said Flores has the following pending cases in Central Luzon:

* illegal possession of firearms and ammunition; robbery with violence and intimidation (Criminal Case No. 11-6981-1403); arrest warrant issued by Judge Philbert Iturralde of the Regional Trial Court (RTC), Branch 58, Angeles City, Pampanga on Sept. 1, 2011 with a bail bond of P160,000.

* murder in relation to Republic Act 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act) under Criminal Case No. 11-8249 issued by RTC, Branch 59, in Angeles City dated June 26, 2012 with no bail recommended

* two counts of robbery with violence and intimidation (Criminal Case Nos. 13-1403 and 11-8258 issued by Judge Iturralde dated Oct. 7, 2013 with P100,000 bail recommended for each count.

Flores used to work as security guard in Angeles City in 2003. In 2010 he fled from the city.

“The subject has been hiding from the authorities these past 10 years,” said Police Lieutenant Colonel Joem Malong, information officer of the Police Regional Office 6.

Flores was arrested after a month of surveillance. He was detained at the Ajuy police station lock-up cell./PN
