BACOLOD City –The City Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Management Council (CFARMC) urged the release of the P1-million budget allocation this year.
The CFARMC passed a resolution to the city government requesting Mayor Evilio Leonardia’s approval of CFARMC’s budget release.
Stated on the resolution, CFARMC budget allocations were not released since 2017 and 2018 due to problems with the City Council’s supporting documents.
Cited on the City Ordinance No. 380, the CFARMC is provided a P1 million yearly budget to ensure and sustain its programs for the conservation, protection, and proper management of the fisheries and aquatic resources.
“The release of CFARMC budget would be a great help to strengthen programs for the fisheries sector in Bacolod City,” further stated on the resolution./PN
