KALIBO, Aklan — Prime commodities will be sold at discounted prices in three municipalities in Aklan next week in time for the opening of classes in June.
Cheap but quality items will be made available during “Diskwento Sales” in Altavas, Kalibo and Ibajay, said Engr. Diosdado Cadena, provincial director of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
Diskwento Sales is a nationwide initiative of the DTI in partnership with local government units and consumer organizations.
It is participated in by local dealers and distributors offering school and office supplies, agro-veterinary products, canned goods, bread, milk, sugar, noodles, coffee and other processed foods, at prices with at least 10 percent discount.
The first Diskwento Sales in the province will be held on May 25 at the Julio Refol Sports Complex in Brgy. Poblacion, Altavas.
On May 26, consumers could buy their needs at the trade caravan at the Kalibo Magsaysay Park in Brgy. Poblacion in this capital town.
Good-quality commodities sold at low prices will be available at the Ibajay Sports Complex in Brgy. Poblacion, Ibajay, on May 27.
