ILOILO City – Police arrested a man in Barangay Guadalupe, Janiuay, Iloilo on Tuesday morning.
The 59-year-old resident Rodulfo Sarandona faces charges for three counts of sexually abusing a minor, a police report showed.
He was nabbed around 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 1 on the strength of an arrest warrant issued by Judge Esperanza Isabel Poco-Deslate of the Regional Trial Court Branch 20.
Sarandona allegedly violated Republic Act 7610, or the Special Protection of Children against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act, the warrant stated.
The suspect was detained in the lockup cell of the Janiuay police station. A P680,00 bail bond was recommended for his temporary liberty./PN
Kindly fact-check your report regarding certain Rodolfo Sarandona, a child abuser, as u alleged. He is in no way a resident of Brgy. Guadalupe and nowhere to he can be found in the lock up cell of Janiuay PNP. In fact, i’d rather strongly belie such incident on your report for as per local PNP record, there has no such arrest incident happened on the date stated on your report.
