BACOLOD City – A couple died while their child got injured in a vehicular accident in Barangay Pandanon, Murcia, Negros Occidental.
Police identified the fatalities as live-in partners Arnel Calalas, 27, and Jessa Laranio, 22 – both residents of the village. Their child survived the crash and only sustained minor injuries.
The incident happened around 10 p.m. on Feb. 21.
The victims, onboard a motorcycle, hit the rear portion of a truck driven by 19-year-old Hans Uyco.
They were rushed to the Murcia Rural Health Unit where the couple was pronounced dead.
Uyco, a resident of Don Salvador Benidicto, Negros Occidental, turned himself in to the Murcia police station. Charges may be filed against him./PN
