ILOILO City – Policarpio Acosta has been accused of sexually abusing a child.
The 70-year-old resident of Barangay Balanti-an, Balasan, Iloilo was arrested on Monday, a police report showed.
Officers served him a warrant of arrest and brought him to the Balasan police station.
Acosta has been charged with sexual abuse in relation to Republic Act 7610, or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
Judge Jose Mauricio Gomez of the Regional Trial Court Branch 66 issued the arrest warrant and set the bail bond at P200,000./PN
