Chrisann Susbilla commits to UE Lady Warriors

MANILA – Ilongga volleybelle Chrisann Susbilla will pursue her tertiary education at the University of the East (UE) after she committed to join the Lady Warriors ahead of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) women’s seniors volleyball wars.

“I have decided to stay with the University of the East for college because I am already comfortable with this team, and I am also familiar with my teammates,” the 5-foot-6 Susbilla said.

She is the latest Ilongga to don the red and white jersey of the Lady Warriors after Ma. Shaya Adorador of the Chery Tiggo Crossovers.

The volleybelle had a one-and-done season with the UE Junior Lady Warriors in UAAP Season 82 girls volleyball, where the team ranked sixth with a 2-10 win-loss record. She was also a part of the Junior Lady Warriors in UAAP Season 82 girls beach volleyball.

The Ilongga is being tipped to contribute offensively for the Lady Warriors, which holds a 3-11 record in UAAP Season 81 women’s seniors volleyball and 0-2 in the shortened UAAP Season 82.

Susbilla was a former standout of Central Philippine University (CPU) Golden Lions, where she bagged a handful of high school volleyball titles. She was a part of the CPU Golden Lions-led Western Visayas Regional Athletic Association squad that won a bronze medal in the girls volleyball of the 2017 Palarong Pambansa in Antique.

Susbilla also suited up for the Bacolod Tay Tung High School Thunderbolts and got a chance to compete in the 2018 National Private Schools Athletic Association in Davao City./PN
