BACOLOD City – Inside a hospital room was where a man landed after he was stabbed in Barangay San Agustin, Isabela, Negros Occidental.
The 41-year-old resident Joemarie Solomon was currently recuperating at the Isabela District Hospital.
Officers from the Isabela municipal police station identified the suspect as the 26-year-old Jay-ar Sario, also a resident of San Agustin.
The incident happened when Sario and his companions went on caroling at the house of Rosalie Minasalbas at around 9 p.m. on Dec. 23.
According to the investigation, a misunderstanding ensued between Sario and Solomon when the latter – who was drunk – danced in front of the carolers.
Sario then attacked Solomon using an unidentified bladed weapon, hitting the victim’s buttocks.
Sario was arrested and placed under the custody of the municipal police./PN
