BACOLOD City-A member of the city council and a delivery rider in this city was victimized by a fake order on March 15.
The victims were Councilor Renecito Novero and the maxim rider.
According to the rider (who requested anonymity) that he delivered the Lechon belly worth P2,500 at the office of the councilor at Bacolod City Government Center, but the Novero declined to receive it, for he did not make any order. The rider said aside from the Lechon belly, the prankster called on him to make an additional order of wine and P300 load.
While the rider was in the wine store, the store owner hears a voice which is very familiar prompting the store owner to alert the rider that the caller is making a fake order.
So, the rider did not buy anymore the wine.
The rider thanked the owner of the Lechon belly that he bought in Barangay Bata because the Lechon owner, fortunately, allowed him to return the order and his money was also returned to him.
For almost seven months of being a rider delivery, this was the first time that he was victimized by a fake order./PN
