ILOILO City – The city government released a teaser for its next-level promotion of the city through the tagline “My Heart Beats in Iloilo City.”
Prior to its official launching, the city government placed posters of the new tagline in strategic areas around the metropolis.
Why “My Heart Beats in Iloilo City”?
“We will explain it in detail but in the meantime, the question is ‘ngaa kadamo sang nagabisita diri sa Iloilo? Without saying that we love Iloilo and we love all the places, we love the food in Iloilo’… amo na siguro ang iya punta. Teaser pa lang subong,” said Mayor Jerry Treñas.
Prepared by the city government’s social media team, the city mayor said the video related to the newest branding of the city will probably be launched in August, in time for his State of the City Address (SOCA).
Known as the City of Love, this southern city is the second top destinations in Western Visayas next to Boracay.
With its famous Iloilo River Esplanade, museums, public plazas and landscapes as well as heritage sites to its sumptuous delicacies and ma-amoma or hospitable Ilonggo people, this southern city can truly make someone’s heart beats, the mayor added./PN
