BACOLOD City – A regular employee of the city government was apprehended on Tuesday and charged with 14 counts of estafa, police said.
Joint elements of the Philippine National Police’s Anti-Kidnapping Group and Police Station 4 served the warrant of arrest to the 41-year-old employee in his house in Celine Homes, Barangay Estefania around 6 p.m.
But the police said he was under hospital arrest after complaining of not feeling well.
The name of the suspect is being withheld by this paper upon the request of the authorities.
Judge Arville Delgado of Regional Trial Court, Branch 57 (San Carlos City, Negros Occidental) ordered the suspect’s arrest. He denied bail for the suspect’s temporary release./PN
