ILOILO City – The Task Force on Morals and Values Formation (TFMVF) has reprimanded five establishments at Aurora Subdivision in City Proper district following reports of them selling liquor near schools.
Nestor Canong, TFMVF head, said they served notices of violation, telling their businesses would be closed once they continue to sell alcoholic beverages.
These establishments were Wanbats, Local Vibes, Food Strip, Casa Rossio Resto Bar, and D&J Jungle Resto Bar.
Canong added that complaints from parents, teachers, homeowners, and barangay officials regarding the issue have also reached Mayor Jerry Treñas.
Establishing and maintaining beer houses 500 linear meters away from schools is prohibited under the city’s Regulation Ordinance No. 2013-065. (With a report from Aksyon Radyo Iloilo)/PN
