City’s top ‘drug dealer’ nabbed

ILOILO City — One of the top drug personalities in this city was arrested in Barangay Mohon, Arevalo district.

The 30-year-old Adrian Clavecillas of Barangay Santa Cruz, Arevalo was collared after selling a sachet of shabu worth P300 to a police poseur-buyer. He yielded three big sachets of shabu worth P30,000.

Combined personnel of Arevalo police station and Regional Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Group led by Inspector Grace Borio arrested him at about 9:55 p.m. Thursday.

“He was the top drug dealer not only in Arevalo but in the entire city,” said Borio. “He has been under surveillance for a long time.”

Police said Clavecillas stopped selling drugs upon knowing that he was under surveillance but resumed last month.

According to Borio, Clavecillas was getting his stocks from Zamboanga and Palawan shipped via local ports in Iloilo,

He was detained in the Arevalo police station lockup cell.
