ILOILO – Provincial police director, Senior Supt. Cornelio Salinas ordered all his police chiefs to tighten watch on suspected illegal drugs dealers and pushers.
Salinas called their attention to clear as many drug-affected barangays as possible.
He clarified, however, that is no sanction would be meted the police chiefs who fail to follow the order.
“They are police officers accountable for their actions,” he said.
The IPPO director also reiterated his warning to his personnel to stay away from illegal drugs.
“We are the ones fighting against illegal drugs and I don’t want to receive another report that we have addict policemen,” he said.
Recently, three policemen tested positive for illegal drugs.
The said policemen have the ranks of PO1, PO2 and PO3./PN
