ILOILO City – A cock farm worker was shot dead by his co-worker in Barangay Sulanga, Cabatuan, Iloilo on Saturday over an old grudge.
John-John Piagola, a helper at FMG Gamefarm and a resident of Dela Rama St., City Proper, succumbed to gunshot wounds on his chest at the Ramon Tabiana Memorial District Hospital.
Cabatuan police identified the suspect as Joy-joy Dela Peña, 24, of Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.
Police Captain Myles Dieron, chief of the Cabatuan police station, said the suspect allegedly shot the victim using a .38 revolver following a misunderstanding during a drinking binge inside their temporary shelter.
The suspect tried to escape but was arrested.
He was detained at the Cabatuan police station, facing a homicide charge./PN
