ILOILO – The Dingle municipal police arrested an alleged cockfighter in a drug buy-bust operation in Sitio Sinandigan, Brgy. Tulatula-an, Dingle town around 4:35 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 27.
Suspect Mark Perez, 34, and a resident of the aforementioned place, was considered a high-value individual (HIV).
Joint elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Iloilo and PDEA-Guimaras, Dingle police station’s Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) led by Police Lieutenant Aileen Lacrite and Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit Team 2 seized six sachets of suspected shabu weighing around 15 grams and with a standard drug price of P102,000; P2,500 in buy-bust money; and non-drug items.
Perez was detained at the Dingle police station pending turnover to the PDEA-Iloilo custodial facility.
He will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
