BACOLOD City – A college dean from Cadiz City, Negros Occidental and her daughter survived a car crash in Hacienda Bariw, Barangay Teresa, Manapla town.
Their Toyota Vios crashed into a parked crane on their way home to Cadiz City around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Manapla police said.
North Negros College dean Catherine Desuyo-Orcena, 52, daughter Kristine Joy, 18, and brother-in-law and driver Noel Orcena, 63, were injured.
They were taken to the Ikaayong Lawas Foundation Hospital in Victorias City but later moved to a private hospital here, Ikaayong Lawas staffer Levy Lavenia said.
Police said the crane, owned by Bacolod City businessman Marciano Sy and driven by Allan Agiong of Sagay City, had a mechanical trouble.
