Comelec holds voting simulation for PWDs

ILOILO City – At least 100 persons with disability (PWDs) will be participating in a voting simulation of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) in this city today.

Alice Bernadette Naranjo, Passi City Elections officer III and Comelec media coordinator, said the activity will be held in pursuance of the commission’s advocacy to cater to the needs of the PWDs.

“The simulation of voters, exclusively for PWDs, is a special project of Comelec to further enhance the voting experience of PWDs in the coming May 9, 2022 national and local elections,” she said.

Naranjo said the simulation of voting will be held at the New Senior High School Building of Central Philippine University, Jaro district from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“Commissioner Al Parreno will be gracing the occasion,” she said.

Naranjo added the PWDs who will be taking part in the simulation of voting will be coming from this city and several municipalities in Iloilo province. (With a report from PIA/PN)
