ANTIQUE – Preparations of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) for this October’s Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) have begun in this province.
An inspection of the voting centers, including schools and barangay halls, in Sibalom town was conducted by Municipal Election Officer III Ma. Luisa A. Marfil.
It checked the actual situation, including whether adequate ventilation and the center’s capacity, to determine whether adjustments were needed.
Marfil wanted the voting process to be smooth.
So far, 45 of the 65 voting centers in Sibalom were inspected, and the facilities were deemed ready for use.
The town has more than 41,000 registered voters for the barangay election and more than 14,000 for the SK.
Sibalom, among the biggest towns in Antique, is composed of 76 barangays and these are: Alangan, Bari, Biga-a, Bongbongan I, Bongbongan II, Bongsod, Bontol, Bugnay, Bulalacao, Cabanbanan, Cabariauan, Cabladan, Cadoldolan, Calo-oy, Calog, Catmon, Catungan I, Catungan II, Catungan III, Catungan IV, Cubay-Napultan, Cubay-Sermon, District 1, Dsitrict II, District III, District IV, Egana, Esperanza I, Esperanza II, Esperanza III, Igcococ, Igdagmay, Igdalaquit, Iglanot, Igpanolong, Igparas, Igsuming, Ilabas, Imparayan, Idag-an, Initan, Insarayan, Lacaron, Lagdo, Lambayagan, Luna, Luyang, Maasin, Mabini, Millamena, Mojon, Nagdayao, Nazareth, Odiong, Olaga, Pangpang, Panlagangan, Pantao, Pasong, Pis-Anan, Rombang, Salvacion, San Juan, Sido, Solong, Tabongtabong, Tig-Ohot, Tigbalua I, Tigbalua II, Tordesillas, Tulatula, Valentin, Villafont, Villahermosa, and Villar./PN
