COMELEC issued list of designated common poster areas in San Jose

SAN JOSE, Antique- the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) issued the list of designated common poster areas in the municipality of San Jose, Antique for the May 9, 2022, national and local elections.

The most designated common poster area in the town of San Jose is public places like barangay plaza and the front area of barangay halls.

In each barangay, there is a designated common poster area COMELEC identified.

These area are: Barangay 1 (In front of the Barangay Hall), Barangay 2 (vacant lot beside petron bantayan), Barangay 3 (Barangay Plaza), Barangay 4 (beside the Barangay Hall), Barangay 5 (beside the Barangay Hall), Barangay 6 (In front of the Barangay Multi-Purpose Center), Barangay 7 (EBJ Park), Barangay 8 (In front of the barangay Hall), Atabay (in front of the barangay hall), Badiang (In front of the Barangay Hall), Bariri (in front of the barangay hall), Bugarot (Barangay Plaza), Cansadan- Tubudan (Barangay Plaza), Durog (In front of Durog Elementary School), Funda Dalipe (In front of the Barangay Hall), Igbonglo (Barangay Plaza), Inabasan (In front of the Barangay Hall), Madrangca (in front of the barangay hall ), Magcalon (In front of the Barangay Hall), Malaiba (Barangay Plaza), Maybato North (Barangay Plaza), Maybato Sur (Barangay Plaza), Mojon (Barangay Basketball Court), Pantao (In front of the Barangay Hall), San Angel (Barangay Plaza), and San Fernando (Barangay Plaza).

This designated common poster area list in San Jose was issued by Acting Election Officer Ma. Luisa A. Marfil.

Recently, Comelec-6 regional director Atty. Wilfred Jay Balisado ordered City/Municipal election offices to issue the list of designated common poster areas in their jurisdiction.

Balisado added that campaign materials should not be put in any public building and infrastructure. Usually, these campaign materials will be put in open space or a private lot, but the barangay officials can still ask the lot owner if these could be made as a common poster area in their place.

ā€œUsually sa open spaces sa mga barangay or kanto with the permission of the owner if its private lot. One week before the start ng the campaign period, dapat every city or municipalities mayroong designated common poster areas,ā€ Balisado said./PN
