BACOLOD City – The city’s Election Registration Board (ERB) will conduct a five-day hearing this month.
The hearing – scheduled on Oct. 25, 26, 29, 30, and 31 – will review the registration of 19,463 voters in Bacolod.
These voters registered with the Commission on Elections from July 2 to Sept. 29.
The ERB is composed of City Election Officer Mavil Sia, City Registrar Hermilo Pauyon and Bacolod City Schools Division Superintendent Division Cynthia.
According to Sia, they will look into the applications of new registrants and those who requested for reactivation, correction and transfer of registration.
The filing of certificates of candidacy (COCs) will be on Oct. 11 to 17.
Bacolod City Police Office head Senior Superintendent Francisco Ebreo said additional personnel will be deployed in the city in view of the filing of COCs.
These additional security forces will also help secure the MassKara Festival, which is set to open on Monday./PN
