BACOLOD City – In Barangay Palampas, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, a construction worker was injured in a shooting incident.
The 31-year-old resident Michael Buhat sustained gunshot wounds on the body, a police report showed.
Buhat was brought to the San Carlos City Hospital for treatment.
Police identified the suspect as 40-year-old resident Antonio Inabai.
According to the police, Buhat and his wife were riding a tricycle when Inabai approached them.
Inabai then peppered Buhat with bullets using a .38-caliber revolver around 8:30 a.m. on July 15, the report added.
It was not immediately established what was the motive in the shooting.
Inabai was detained in the lockup cell of the San Carlos City police station, facing charges./PN
